2. My Review
My Experience with Jhan Vet Putrajaya
I've been to many vet clinics and i find this vet is outstanding because of its cleanliness, neatness, professionalism and convenience. I sent my cat for spay (mandul for female) at Jhan Vet.
Price was RM150 (inclusive 1 day boarding - hotel). Added extra 2 nights for boarding so that my pet can be monitored by experts. Overall experience was good.
My Rates for Jhan Vet Putrajaya :
Cleanliness : (squeaky clean, sanitized and not smelly)
Convenience : (easy to find clinic and get parking)
Service and Professionalism : (friendly and professional - good in monitoring our pets and handle with care)
Price : (comparing to other vet, Jhan is abit pricey. but i think its worth it due to its plus points)
3. About Spay and Neuter
What I know About Spay and Neuter
Also known as "Pemandulan" haiwan.
Fyi, there are difference between Spay and Neuter
Both spaying and neutering refer to the surgical sterilization of an animal. It is to make the pet unable to have offspring. Its a birthday control for pets.
- Spay (Ovariohysterectomy): Removal of female's reproductive organs (ovaries and uterus)
- Neuter (Orchiectomy): Removal of a male's testicles
Brief Advantages of Spay and Neuter
- Reduce sexual desire
- Reduce homeless pet population 💥
- Reduce cancer prevalence
- Reduce aggressiveness due to reduction of hormone level
- Add life span of the pet
What to Expect After Spay
Your pet might get groggy after 48 hours of spay due to anesthesia. Hence, prepare clean place (such as a comfortable mat) for them to rest. Also, confine your pet in a crate or small room the night after surgery
Taking Care of Your Pet's Wound
- Discourage licking at its wound
- Replace and litter with newspaper - to avoid contact wound with sand
- Discourage your pet to contact with other animals, as they might touch the wound
- Keep your pet indoor and clean
- Limit your pet's activities to allow healing process
- Do not bathe your pet
- Must keep your pet away from hazardous places. such as stairs
